Take
a look at the VERY FIRST pictures of our latest
litter... they should be
ready to go home around the end of
June 2010 As of June 5, 2010 we
have 1 male left.
Not much to see... yet. But the excitement is coming...
More to come... as soon as Haley starts showing we will post some shots.
They're a week and a half now and their eyes are beginning
to open. The excitement is about to begin, we'll be
posting videos as soon as they get more mobile.
The littlest girl is a pound and a half now and can
hold her own against her bigger brothers
This is the big boy, he weighs in at 2 lbs, 2 oz.
Looks like a 10 pound sausage in a 5 pound casing... this was
taken Sunday the 25th. Poor girl looks like she is going to
POP!!! She had a fetal x-ray on Saturday that predicted 9
puppies.
The pups are very strong and energetic crawling all over
each other. But, with a full tummy and a warm bed,
what else is there to do?? Snooze time.
Life is hard and precious and breeding an animal shows you both,
sometimes at the same time... we were expecting 9 puppies and we
delivered 8. We lost the last puppy. But we have 8 very
healthy and happy puppies looking for their families and their
forever homes.
"Bubbles" escaped on Thursday from the pen... I went in
and counted the puppies after I got home and came up a
puppy short. Needless to say I was a bit
concerned. I found her curled up and sleeping
behind the waste basket. We have since put up the
play-pen and raised the door to prevent further
excursions.
At left Haley takes a puppy break and chews on one of
her favorite bones.
The puppies on patrol... investigating their
environment. These puppies seem to be
quite adventurous. We are beginning to see
their personalities come out.
Almost made it to the play pen after
eating... alas it was not meant to be...
The puppies are now three and a half weeks
old... they are beginning to show some
personality.
Jake meets his son...
My Harley pup... not sure
if he wants to ride or chew.
Playtime in the family room.
You ever try to keep up with 8
puppies on the loose?? It's a
lot like pushing a rope. Can't
be done.
Like little piggies waiting to be
fed... oh wait they are waiting to
be fed breakfast
Golden's are very oral animals
as you can see, don't forget to
get LOTS of chew toys or you may
regret it.
The puppies weren't
smelling like puppies
anymore it WAS
time for a bath.
Its amazing how fluffy
they are. They
loved playtime in the
kitchen too.
Hey mom, come here... the puppies on
visiting day, you can look but you
can't touch.
Above, the puppies are now 4 1/2 weeks and being weened from mom and are on
solid foods. It appears to agree with them.
Pam in the puppy pit where they are playing just
like Golden puppies should, tuggin on her capri's,
knawing on her behind and
licking her face.
Puppies being weened from mom and getting their
first taste of solid foods. They swarm like
little bees when we place the bowl and eat like
little piglets. Very fun to watch.
No Comment neccessary, just say awwwwwfully cute.
As we thankfully close out this years litter with all
fur-babies placed and healthy you'll note they've
adjusted rather well to solid food vs. momma. It
was quite a chore to get them to let us first put the
bowl down.
Not much to say here... Golden's are clowns and they
will play with and in anything. But, thats why we
love them so.
Thanks to all the families of this year's litter...
you've been great and we look forward to getting to know
you all even better. Stay in touch.
