Here they come... Haley / Tonka puppies arrived May 19th...
2 girls and 5 boys, all healthy, happy
and strong
Below we have our first pictures of the puppies...
We are very excited with this litter, Tonka was the number eight Golden in the nation for 2010.
Haley with her 2 girls an 5 boys, even after a c-section she is doing great and taking care of her fur-babies.
The puppies are now 3 days old.. and completely satisfied after a good meal of mom's milk... we keep the room pretty warm as the puppies can't yet regulate their own temperature, if they get cold they can't digest their milk. Mom gets a little warm, but as you can see the puppies are quite comfortable.
Here the puppies are using each other as pillows, one would think after all that time is such close quarters they would want to distance themselfs from the siblings
At left our little fur-babies are five days old.
Above and below it appears the puppies had a great party with mom... the puppies are growing as we watch them. These puppies are going to be quite nice.
The fur-babies are 2 weeks old and really starting to get mobile, their eyes are just beginning to open. They know exactly when mom gets in the pen and it’s a mad scramble to food... Below had to focus on the one puppy that seemed to be particularly sated.
They wiegh about 3lbs each now.
Below, watch the action as "The Chairman" Frank Sinatra sings "The Good Life" while the puppies attack mom trying to get fed. We hope that all our little fur-babies live the good life.
The pupies are really playing now (although these pictures don't show it) and getting real big... These shots were taken Saturday June 11, 2011 so they are a little over 3 weeks. We will be starting them on solid food soon.
Families will be welcome to visit next weekend
We were changing the puppy pen and had the pups in the basket on a blue tarp... didn't look very good so I faked a shot and put them on the "lawn". What do you think of the fake??
Marika got Summer howling, whistled at her... she just kept going. Don't worry no pupies were harmed in the making of this video...
Left and below our little fur-babies get their first taste of solid foods at 4 weeks... speaking of which, only 4 weeks to go for those of you counting... they are really reacting to our presence when we go in the room
You really had to see it to believe it... there was so much food all over the place youd' swear they were trying to wear it not eat it...
These pictures show one of the reason we breed Golden's... the love of the breed and the pure joy and love they bring, meet Sophia at right, Benjamin below and sister Emma bottom right... they came for a visit over the weekend.
Here's another obligatory mug shot of one of the cutest puppies... funny thing is they all look just like her.
Aunt Lola plays with one of the pups... she is so excited to have seven of th elittle fur-babies to play with... she is so careful too when she plays it is TOO cute.
Above our pup discovered the ball was just a bit too big for him to carry around so he tried to push it. At Right we have a gaggle of Golden's... hey where did that ugly Golden come from?? Oh it's someone's foot, there is no such thing as an ugly Golden.

The Reut family selected the teal collar and have named their pup Vegas... above you see Vegas completely satisfied after his meal, then in complete disbelief at being disturbed from his slumber and finally throughly disgusted at having to get up from his nap.
The Bender family selected the Dark Blue collar, they have named him Hawkeye... he had a lot of visitors before this picture was taken so he finally ran out of gas and took a nap.
At right the Morris family selected Spits and named him Duke... he has the watermelon collar.
Above is Bodie, he wears the collar with the peace smbols and hearts...
The Hess family selected the pup with the black collar and name him Nowell looks like we have a couple of happy campers here.
At right the Bender family, Dad Jason, Kiff and Colin (standing) conduct puppy interviews... above it looks like Kiff has found a puppy worthy of a second interview. The selected the puppy with the dark blue collar, his name is Hawkeye
Amazing... day three at the bowl (today 6/18) and they're eating like the knew how and have been doing it for days. They went to the vet too... traveled really well and got dewormed, eyes checked and listened to their hearts.
I could have sold 10 more puppies
if I had them... talk about chick magnets... the vet techs were going crazy to help us with the puppies.
At left one happy puppy, you have to wonder though how that can be comforable

Vegas (R) and Taylor (L) getting their first baths... they actually did pretty good and didn't seem to mind... it takes two to bath the pups and one to take pictures and take of the cleanup...
Below Veas is readied for his bath
Above Taylor and Duke getting ready to rumble... the puppies are so funny and rambunctious after their baths. I have sooooo many pictures but for the sake of the website I can only publish so many.
Above and below the pups are clean and ready to play... tug-o-war with a beach towel and then out on a search and destroy mission looking for woobies.

Bath day for the puppies and a little play time afterward to the tune of "Singing in the Rain"
